In our preschool level, children no longer have a parent/buddy with them in the water. They will be concentrating on water confidence, breath control, buoyancy and movement. This includes the use of water aids and small amount of play.

This should be an enjoyable stage. Some swimmers in this age group will start learning the beginning techniques of strokes; freestyle, backstroke and survival backstroke. They will learn safe entries into the pool, jump & returns and begin treading water.

Important Notes:

*Children will begin wearing caps for every class and they may begin to wear goggles.

*For colder months please keep your children warm after class. Read our Winter Ideas for tips.
